‘If It's Easier’ is the final single from Fergus’ debut album, Love Upside Down. It’s a track that really takes the listener on a journey. From the melancholy of its opening moments, to the subtle inflections of positivity gentle introduced in his powerful voice and through rolling drum rhythms and gentle guitar strumming. He explains the track’s background perfectly: “This was a song I had mapped out on guitar for ages and ages, just waiting for the verses to materialise. Life and love can beat us down, and make us want to close up and sort of "opt out" to feel safer. Is it easier? Probably. But will that lead to fulfilment...?
